Day Seventy Nine and Counting...

The girls had a busy day visiting with Grandma! Grace couldn't wait to get into Grandma's purse... for one and only one reason... Lipstick!
Starting to apply the first layer...
And the second...
And then it's Grace's turn...
Pleased with herself!
Very kissable!
But Olivia isn't so sure...!

Day Seventy Eight and Counting...

I was feeling rather under the weather tonight, so Jeremy took it upon himself to entertain the ladies while I took a catnap...
Grace is completely absorbed by a Barbie princess movie...
And so is Jeremy!

Day Seventy Seven and Counting...

I love my slow cooker!  It gives me days like today... dinner ready to eat when we got home.  Giving us time to just be together... the girls rarely get to go down to the family room during the week because there is not time between cooking dinner, eating and getting ready for bed.  Today was an exception!
So much lately, it has just all been about maintenance.  On top of dishes, laundry, cleaning, laundry, cooking, there is the girls' feeding, bathing, dressing, driving from one place to another... very tiring.  Very much the story of a lot of young families' lives!  But every now and then everything falls into place, and I get a few minutes longer with my girls... that doesn't involve maintenance. Or watching them sleep.

She loves Jessie!
Livie, just posin'.
Bouncing up and down on the piano stool... 'cause it's fun!
Just goofin'!

Day Seventy Six and Counting...

What another incredibly beautiful day!  It's amazing what some sunshine and warm air can do for your sense of well being.  Every time I went outside, I took a second to turn to the sun, close my eyes and take a deep breath... and just absorb the warmth and sunshine.  It was bliss.  Hooray for spring!
Jeremy and Grace did a little bit of running around while dinner was cooking, and Olivia and I waited in the doorway for them to return.

Off they go...
"Daddy, where are you?"
'Wait! Was that them?"
"Yay! They are back!"

Day Seventy Five and Counting...

The time change this time around has been really rough on the girls.  Grace, especially, has been struggling with the fact that the sun is still 'awake' when she is supposed to be sleeping.  So, she has been a lot more tired than usual because she is missing out on sleep.
She has been trying to nap at school, which does help to a point.  But she is still quite the bear by the time dinner rolls around.  Tonight, she wanted me to take pictures of her sad and angry faces.
Right side of her pout...
Full-on pout...
Left side of her pout...
Pout corrected!
And here is dear Livie's pout!
Daddy's solution for a sad baby?  Stick her in the window!
It certainly distracted her!

Day Seventy Four and Counting...

Grace has beautiful, long blond hair.  She loves to brush it (when it isn't tangled!) and to wear different things in it - half and full ponytails, barrettes, whatever.  But if she had her way, she would not wear anything in her hair.
Today, however, she decided she would like to wear her hair like Mommy.  I, too, have long blond hair.  And lately, I have taken to wearing a hairband with my ponytail.  Grace decided to skip the ponytail, and just wear a headband.
 So serious...!

Olivia, on the other hand, was not being serious at all!  She was, in fact, playing with her cereal!
Happy baby!

Day Seventy Three and Counting...

Sundays really are the best!  Just relaxing around the house, taking it easy... trying not to think too much about Monday....!
(Grace asked me to take a picture, and then posed just so for me...)
Yesterday, for dinner, we got a special from a local grocery store.  It included a box of Cadbury snack cakes for a dessert.  We decided to have some at lunch...
Grace enjoyed hers... until the caramel leaked on her hands!
Olivia thoroughly enjoyed hers!

In the late afternoon, while Grace and I were busy playing in the family room, Jeremy and his little helper were busy making dinner.  It was a nice change for all of us, I think.  And Olivia especially liked being Daddy's helper!
**Umm... this pan, Daddy?**
**Can we use this, too, Daddy?**
