Day Fifty One and Counting...

Weekends really are the best for photo ops and fun stuff to share!  Jeremy often takes the initiative and brings out the camera while it is just him and the girls...

And sometimes, its just all about the pancakes!
We all hung out in the family room for a while this afternoon, and just enjoyed being together... and being cute!

Then it was time to get ready to go out to dinner... and poor Olivia thought she was being left behind when Grace went running up the stairs! Just look at that lip sticking out!
On the way to the restaurant, Grace finally gave up the fight, and took a catnap!

The girls love to go out to eat, and tonight was no exception!

I think this last photo is a clear indication of where Grace gets her goofy faces from, wouldn't you agree?

Day Fifty and Counting...

Today, Grace and her classmates celebrated the Olympics.  She and each of her peers got a medal on a red ribbon to wear.  She thought it was pretty cool... until she got home and Daddy had a medal for her from a promotion he had participated in at work!

Just tossin' it around...
And Grace wins gold for being adorable!

Olivia is asking Grace where her medal is...?

'Cause, wouldn't you agree, that Olivia needs a medal for being the cutest, too?

Day Forty Nine and Counting...

Today was funky hair day for Grace.  Yes, it was a scheduled event, not just my need to play with her hair!  This was the first time she let me put this many elastics in her hair since she was a toddler!

Thankfully, she was okay with the whole thing, and couldn't wait to show her friends!
Livie doesn't seem so sure about Grace's hair, though!

After school, there was actually time to just hang out and relax, so the girls jammed.

Grace is practicing her finger work!
Livie is working on her vocals... I really wish you could hear her sing!

She gets right into it!

Day Forty Eight and Counting...

Everyone was up just a little bit earlier than they should have been this morning, but Jeremy and his girls made the most of it!  Lots of extra cuddles and quiet time together before he had to leave for work.  Olivia brought Jeremy as many books as she could carry, and 'asked' him to read to her!

Livie is right into pointing at pictures and 'talking' about what she sees!

Yesterday, some of my extra Tupperware that I keep in the pantry was 'discovered' by Livie, and was pulled out for play.  Today, Grace decided she needed to build something with it.

A combination of Tupperware, tissues and a Slurpee cup...
"Do you like my princess tower, Mommy?"

Really... why do I buy my kids blocks for building???

Day Forty Seven and Counting...

My poor Grace had such a rough day at school today.  Not because she was misbehaving, but because she was the target of other children who were misbehaving.  She was a basket case by the time I got my girls home!  And the poor thing has a sore throat and a yucky sounding cough to top her day off!
The very best thing for her?  Daddy was home early enough to spend some time with his ladies!  Grace practically threw herself at him, pouting about her 'tough day' and how very tired she was!  Livie was beside herself with glee!  And I, quite frankly, was just as pleased to see him!

Daddy is sharing his pop...
Grace is watching closely to make sure he doesn't drink it all before she gets some more!

Does Olivia want a taste?
Fizzy pop not your thing, honey?

Day Forty Six and Counting...

What a terrific day!  Family Day?  It totally was!  The girls really made the most of their extra time with Daddy, and Jeremy just basked in their glow!
The mild weather just beckoned to us, and it wasn't long before Grace was begging to go outside.  So, we dressed and bundled Olivia up in the stroller.
And away we go!

Barely awake as we leave...
Grace leads the way...
To her favourite part of the neighbourhood...

The Hill.  (Yes, capitalized.)
Up and down The Hill... the best part of the walk, as far as Grace is concerned.

And Olivia was fast asleep when we got back...!
Grace loves all things related to water... so winter literally is a wonderland for her..!  She loves to eat snow, and icicles; she loves to dig snow, lay in it, climb it... you name it!  When we got back from our walk, the hunt was on for icicles!
Success!
Sweet success!

Mmmm... shish kebab?

Day Forty Five and Counting...

This afternoon, while Jeremy and Grace napped, Olivia decided she needed to 'help' me with the dishes!  You can imagine the results!

Hmmm... tasty?
Interesting goatee! If a little lopsided...!
It's on my forehead... help!
Enough pictures... get it off me!

Yay!  More grandparents visiting!  This time it was Oma and Opa!  The girls were thrilled to see them!  It took only moments for both of them to get my parents right involved in whatever they could.  Grace talked up a storm - mostly about The Princess and The Frog, which she just loves!  It was incredible to listen to her!  She insisted that they needed to see it for themselves!
They brought us a delicious chocolate truffle cake to share for dessert!  It was from Sunrise Market.  Deeeeee-lish!  Wow!  The girls really enjoyed it!

Grace is having a big bite! (There's Opa in the background...!)

My dad gets a real kick out of Grace!  Just look at that grin!
My mom hates having her picture taken... and Jeremy is smirking because I snapped this one!  And then he started teasing her about how I would post it here, and billions of people were going to see it!  He thinks he is hilarious! Poor Mom!
Olivia really enjoyed the cake... and it had an unexpected affect on her...
