Day Two Hundred and Seventy Five and Counting...

We had a surprise guest on our patio this morning, much to the enjoyment of my girls and the discomfort of Jeremy and myself!
Yes, that is a rather fat raccoon wandering about in our yard!  It wasn't the least bit timid, and spent quite some time at the patio doors trying to sniff my girls through the windows!  We are fairly sure it wasn't well, for a number of unpleasant reasons.  The girls were sad to see it go, but we were glad when it finally wandered on it's merry way.

After another successful trip to The Salvation Army store, we brought home a new game for Grace (and Daddy!) to play.  Olivia was taken with it too, and really wanted to play!
It was great fun to watch Grace's serious concentration, and Livie's joy at being able to play, too!
These adorable glasses are one of the other great scores of the day!  Both girls look fabulous in them!

Day Two Hundred and Seventy Four and Counting...

We ended a wonderful day out in the yard, while Jeremy barbequed dinner.  Olivia has gotten very comfortable on the swings, and decided that she wanted Grace to push her tonight!
Quite the hairdo, Livie!
Grace is all about being "big sister", and is always asking Olivia if she wants "big sister" to do this or that for her.  It's adorable!  And they both enjoy it very much!

Day Two Hundred and Seventy Three and Counting...

We started our morning with a little fancy feet dress-up...
I sense some sass in that pose!

After school, it was snack time!  Raisins, with a side of sillies!

Day Two Hundred and Seventy Two and Counting...

Wednesday mornings are always the most rushed and frantic... and its all because of one single person... Daddy!  Each of them need their moments and time with Daddy!  And Daddy has all of half and hour to prepare and dress for work, and entertain each of his girls.  And let me tell you, it is a challenge some Wednesdays!
This Wednesday was an exception.  Everything went smoothly, and the girls let Daddy go to work with smiles on their faces.
I think it went so well today because Daddy assured them that he would be at home waiting for them when they got home from school!
And he was!

Day Two Hundred and Seventy One and Counting...

Two tiny catalogs were waiting for us when we got home, and they made my girls' day!  So nice that they can be pleased (and distracted!) by something so simple!
Yes, my girls love their Avon catalogs!
(Can't wait for my turn, too!)
Livie is very serious in her perusal!
And Grace was very serious in trying to convince me that she needed the fairy making kit on this page!

And a bonus:
This is the first word that Grace spelled out on her own!
She sounded it out, and figured it out...
And here, Jeremy drew the letters for her to practice writing it, too!

Day Two Hundred and Seventy and Counting...

Jeremy and I are avid readers.  Okay, me more than Jeremy, but even so.  And we are doing our best to instill our love of reading in our girls.  And from what I have seen up to this point, we are doing a great job!
One book after another... they just can't get enough!
"Can you hold this while I finish my book?"
As much as she loves to read, she hates to wait her turn for another book!

Day Two Hundred and Sixty Nine and Counting...

Today was a very big day for my littlest girl.
This used to hang on Olivia's door... but I don't think it applies to her anymore!
See anything missing?  How about a hint?
Got it yet?
How about now?
Yes, Olivia has officially graduated to a big girl bed!
And she loves it!

Grace has a new addition to her bedroom, too!
A lovely new lamp!
