Day One Hundred and Seventy Seven and Counting...

Today was a quiet day at our house, despite all the errands and usual Saturday business.  Seemed to me that every chance the Grace got, she grabbed a few extra z's while we drove.  It was amusing, as Grace usually fights it as hard as she can, and today she just grabbed her blanket and snuggled in!

Quick!  Back out in the yard... act like we never went inside last night!  Like we never went to school today... like we have been in the yard the whole day!

Day One Hundred and Seventy Five andCounting...

All the way home from daycare, Grace begged to go back outside.  I promised her if we got dinner finished and cleared up in time, we could go out for a bit before it was time to get ready for bed.  We managed!  And I am so glad we did, 'cause the photo ops were amazing!  I weeded through the forty-plus shots I got and here are some of the best!

As soon as I opened the door, Livie took off!  She did her best to get as far away from the house as she possibly could!

And as high as she could get, too!

Grace was quick to join her!

I just had to get Grace to lay amongst our little flowering weeds...

I told her to pretend she was Sleeping Beauty... see the tiny smile?  She really liked that idea!

Day One Hundred and Seventy Four and Counting...

It would appear that Olivia wanted to pick up where we left off yesterday...  After school, she followed Grace straight to the bathroom, intending to play with her!  Grace obliged:

After dinner it was time to chill... quite literally, as we went down to the family room where it was so much cooler!  The girls were happy to play, and be with Daddy!

Day One Hundred and Seventy Three and Counting...

I decided I needed some photos of something completely different... and Grace presented me with the perfect opportunity!  Just as I turned my camera on, she went flying past me...
I followed her... she was quiet.  And then I heard singing.  Not unusual.  Nor is it unusual to hear her talking to herself.  So, here she was:

 Livie did not want to wait for Grace to come out!  She wanted to play with her and was upset that she couldn't get the door open!  She was hollering and banging on the door.  Grace was talking to her and calling back to her!  So... I indulged her, and opened the door!

Livie was thrilled to be in the can with Grace!  And Grace was actually happy to see her, too!

Livie grabbed the plunger... is she trying to tell Grace something?  Courtesy flush, maybe?

Day One Hundred and Seventy Two and Counting...

I think my girls missed missed me a little today.  They were all over me from the moment we walked in the front door!  It's been a while that they have been both so needy at the same time like that... a little overwhelming, right a dinner time.
So, both girls had their chairs pulled up to the counter so they could "help" make dinner... y'know, playing with the potatoes I was trying to peel and slice, the pots on the counter... and everything else within reach!

Livie is reaching for the bread that is just out of range...

They are climbing on to the counter, together!  Combined cuteness is harder to resist, I suppose...?

Day One Hundred and Seventy One and Counting...

Happy Father's Day!

What a fun day we had, celebrating Jeremy!  We had his mom sleep over last night, and she joined us for brunch today!  And afterward, we went visiting!  The girls got to see Aunt Natalie and Uncle Rob, Great-Aunt Lea, and Grandpa Frank, too!  And in the evening, Oma and Opa came over!  Lots of family, and lots of love all around!  It was awesome!

We went to La Bella Vita for brunch.  You may recall we went there for our anniversary for dinner... 

Well, Jeremy could not wait to go back for brunch!  And let me tell you...  it was so worth it!  I had Eggs Benedict and they were to die for!  Just amazing!  And they served warm-from-the-oven banana bread as an appetizer!  Oh, Lordy!

Grace was struggling a bit with the wait for our meals... and she could see the yummy food on the tables around us.  She did her best to keep her act together, and because she was trying so hard, Jeremy offered her the camera and suggested she take some photos herself.  Jeremy and I, of course, hammed it up for her!
