Day Sixty Five and Counting...

Today was Grace's second swimming lesson, and we were all very excited about it!  Grace had a tough time waiting for it to finally be time to leave!
When we arrived, she learned she would be wearing a life jacket, and was thrilled!  She was already feeling more confident than she did last week, and the jacked made her even more so!
She has realized that she can float with the jacket on...

And she starts to float away from the table she is supposed to be standing on!
(You can see from the grin on her face that she is not concerned, and knows that we can see what she is up to!  Showing off, I think!)
Livie almost seems to be concerned that Grace is floating away...
Here, her teacher's hands are off and Grace is 'swimming' on her own!
Her little arms and legs were working so hard!
Kicking her feet, waiting her turn to jump in again!
Success!

And meanwhile, Jeremy and Olivia amused themselves...

This afternoon, the weather was just phenomenal!  The sun beckoned to us, and Grace begged to go for a bike ride.  We happily indulged her!

On our way to...

The Hill!
Daddy, I am just too tired to ride! You can carry my bike, right?

I think Livie is all worn out, too!

Day Sixty Four and Counting...

My girls were just full of sillies today!  They were so excited to play and run around before bed... and it was even more fun 'cause Mommy got on the floor - camera in hand!  Time to ham it up, ladies!

Pllllbbbbbbbbbttttt!

Mommy! I am trying to read!
I laid on the floor to take this picture and...

Olivia came to take advantage of being 'bigger' than Mommy!

Pile on Mommy!
Olivia is victorious!

Day Sixty Three and Counting...

What a day!  It was such a relief to come home... my poor girls were soooo tired!  I wasn't sure that they would make it through dinner!  I was so grateful that it was a simple meal.  And they sure enjoyed it!
Mmmm!  Weenies and beanies!
Watch me feed myself!
Umm... just how soon do the beans start to work, Mommy??

Day Sixty Two and Counting...

Yay!  We were all able to go back to daycare today!  And stay all day!  Olivia was her happy and contented self again today, and was just thrilled to see all her (boy)friends!
Grace had a busy afternoon, making a really cool mask:

But Livie wasn't a fan!
She is actually in the process of running away!!
Grace thought it was hilarious, and decided it was a good time to play "Livie, you'll never find me!" - her version of chase!  She wanted me involved since I had the camera out, and she tried to hide from me... and I got this great shot of her!

Caught you!

Day Sixty One and Counting...

Olivia's mission today: nap.  She napped for three hours this morning!  She hasn't done that since she was very small!  I am sure it helped that it was quiet at home, as Grace went to school today and wasn't here to disturb her.  She was a completely different kid after her nap, so maybe her meds are finally working...?

It was absolutely beautiful outside when we picked Grace up, and we decided we really needed to play in the yard for a little bit.  And it was so worth it just to watch the two of them on the swings together!

Can you see the joy in Livie's face as she watches Grace??

Livie loves when Grace pushes her swing!

Day Sixty and Counting...

Sadly, I had to keep the girls home again today as Olivia was again sporting a fever, thanks to an infection in the opposite ear!
Poor girl!  Despite the fever, she was in pretty good spirits.  She and Grace had a really good day!

We had bagels and cream cheese for lunch...

Clearly enjoying the cheese, yes?
Grace is loving it, too!

And then it was time to get the girls busy and occupied... so, we made cookies!  I give Grace her own bowl of ingredients, and let her go to town!

This is Grace's "cookie"... completely inedible!
Baking is hard work!
Clean up crew is on site!

Day Fifty Nine and Counting...

WOW!  What an amazing day!
Jeremy and I scared the crap out of the girls as we cheered and hollered for the Canadian Men's Hockey Team gold medal game against the USA -- which we won!  We were so excited!
Let me show you just how much:
A 13in television!
We brought this upstairs so we could watch the game while we had dinner!  My friends, we have a 47 in television in the family room!!  But the children must be fed, so we made do with a tiny tv and huge excitement!
And it was so worth it!

Livie was excited about the tv...
And she started taking wagers!!

And Grace shared her winning smile -- after she recovered from us hootin' and hollerin'!
