Day One Hundred and Counting...

Wow!  Day one hundred!  Incredible!  And it was a great day, too!

Grace had her second last swimming lesson today, and she did just fantastic!  She was amazing!  She was so happy and confident, and just couldn't wait to get moving!
Jostling to go first...
Kicking with her feet together!
Note that the teacher is not touching Grace!
You go, girl!
More hands-free!
**Wow!  Just look at Grace go, Mommy!**
Amazing!
**Hey, lady!  Did you see my sister swimming by herself??**

Then we were off to pick up our new picnic table for the girls!  Thanks to Kaiden'sMommy, part of LondonMoms for her husband's handy work!  The girls love it!
It has been christened with a juice spill and cheese-dust fingers!
Guess it's a *big* bite?
Heeeeere's Grace!
Livie is desperate to climb up the slide... just so she can slide down again!

Day Ninety Nine and Counting...

This morning, we were all up a little bit earlier than usual, and that left some time for the girls to play before going to school.  They were both in great moods, and Livie decided to 'get' Grace!
Here, Grace is laughing insanely at Olivia, and Olivia is eating it up!
Laughing together!  Livie's little fit are stamping up and down with glee!

When we got home, Daddy was waiting!  And so were the steaks he was planning to barbeque, snow or not!  Grace got all her gear on so she could go out and play.  Livie was stuck inside with me... for a while, anyway!
**I see you, Daddy!**
Grace is playing with her almost-frozen bubbles!
Playing finger games with Daddy...
She was like a little bug, trying and trying to get out the door!
So forlorn...
**Yay for Daddy for picking me up!**
Just look at that grin!  Her whole little face just squishes right up!

Day Ninety Eight and Counting...

Grace was feeling funny tonight, and was making a fool of herself at the dinner table.  She decided she was "Kevin" from Up and therefore did not need to eat with a spoon.  (Kevin was discussed at daycare and the conversation continued at home... and if you haven't seen Up yet, do yourself a favour and watch it!)
So, for those of you who don't know, Kevin is a bird.  Thus, no fork.
Note the concentration...
Success!
Nose-deep in KD and scrambled eggs!  (Or is it beak-deep?)
Livie is trying really hard not to watch Grace being silly...
But she can't help but laugh at her anyway!
Then she decided Grace needs to get table manners, or get out!
Uh-oh! Is there a noodle in her nose??

Day Ninety Seven and Counting...

When we got home tonight, Daddy was waiting.  The girls could not wait to get at him!  They have a real love going on for him right now, and he is just soaking it up!
He also had a surprise for me, but the girls were far more excited about it than I was!  He brought home a huge carpet for the laundry room, but laid it out in the livingroom to show me and the girls.  They were immediately all over it!  Grace was jumping, rolling and running back and forth across it!  Livie was crawling and running after Grace!
Rolling...
Tumbling...
Rolling some more...
Trying to get Livie to "get her"!
The tables have turned!  I will get you, Livie!
Yay!  Hugs!

Day Ninety Six and Counting...

My girls were exhausted tonight, but full of sillies, just the same!  And Daddy was home to take advantage of their funny moods!
Jeremy has always liked putting the girls' fingers and hands in his mouth to tickle them... he does it with their feet and toes, too!  And they, of course, find it hilarious!
Just starting the game...
Livie is really enjoying this game!  She is laughing uncontrollably!
Ahhh!  Daddy's got me!
Your turn, Mommy!  Get me!
**Hahaha! I am so funny!**
Amused with herself!

Meanwhile, Grace was busy posing for me, begging me to take pictures of her while I tried to take shots of Jeremy and Olivia playing together!  Here is her hard work!
She sits like this all the time anymore...
What a great smile!
*Crush you! Crush you! I am crushing your head!*
Love you!

Day Ninety Five and Counting...

And.... cue the Monday meltdown!
Yes, heaven forbid we should break with tradition and make the most of being home a little early on a Monday, and actually enjoy ourselves!
*sigh*
Poor Grace couldn't make it through dinner without losing her mind tonight.  And let me show you how she decided to express her tantrum this time around  -- after the yelling and screaming, and general rudeness on her part....
Grace tossed every plushie she has on the floor... it doesn't look like much, but for her first time pulling this stunt, it was quite something!
Grace was not pleased to see the camera, and was trying to scramble away from me!  She was very embarrassed, by the mess and her tantrum!
In the midst of all this, Livie was busy watching and waiting for Daddy to get home...
I see you, Daddy!

Day Ninety Four and Counting...

Happy Easter!
My girls were thrilled to see their Oma and Opa today!  After their initial "warm-up", they just couldn't get enough of each other!
Grace started out needing some space, as she woke up from her nap after my parents arrived, and wasn't quite up to company yet.  So, she took a short walk with a long stick - across the yard!
My happy wanderer!
The climber that we have in our yard, my parents bought for the girls last spring.  It is has been (and will be!) any number of things for Grace, and eventually for Olivia.  Right now, it is Livie's challenge du jour to try and scale it and scootches her bum to the slide.  Oma and Opa were very happy to play at the climber with them!
Pushing Grace on the swing and watching Livie under the climber...
Aha! Opa's got you!
Here comes Livie!
Peek-a-boo, Princess!
This is a (up-til-now) rare occurrence!  Grace is very shy around Opa, and for her to go to him for hugs and comfort is a big deal!  She stayed like this with him for several minutes!

After dinner, it was time to just unwind.  Both my girls love their books, and they decided to share their new ones from Grandma with Oma and Opa.  Grace memorized two of them and kept reading to Daddy, and Olivia kept bringing hers to Oma to share.
Read it again, Oma!
Animated conversation with both his granddaughters!
The girls just could not get enough of Oma and Opa!
