Day Two Hundred and Thirty Three and Counting...

We started our day very early... and to brighten my day and my spirits, I treated myself to a lovely bouquet of flowers.  Grace loved the idea so much, she picked some flowers from the yard for me.  So, now I have two equally lovely bouquets!

Today was a very busy day for the girls!  Oma and Opa came over early and we all went shopping together!  The girls love going anywhere with their grandparents... and I think the same can be said about their grandparents, too!
After shopping, we came home for some lunch, and then Oma and Opa had the girls to themselves while Jeremy and I took off to see "Scott Pilgrim" at the theatre!  It was a lovely date, and a great movie!
Yes, the girls were happy to see us when we got home, but they were far too busy playing with Oma and Opa to pay us much attention!
 Grace and Opa... goofin' around!
Grace and Oma taking 'care' of each other!  Oma was 'braver' than Opa for her needles!

My parents stayed for dinner, too.  Jeremy was responsible for the food, and was lucky enough to stand out in the rain while it cooked!
Lucky, because Livie wanted to be out in the rain, too!

Day Two Hundred and Thirty One and Counting...

Arrrg!  Today was our Pirate Day in preschool, and Grace and I were all ready to go!
First Mate Grace!
Unfortunately, she took the bandanna off just as we arrived at school, claiming that she was too shy to play pirate at school!  Sheesh...
And here I am, Pirate No-Beard!
Pretty gruff looking, eh?
And my crazy upside-down girl...

Day Two Hundred and Thirty and Counting...

This evening was a little bit of heaven for me...
Having worked late, I was expecting the ladies to be cranky, hungry and uncooperative.  Lucky me, they were just hungry, and most content to just draw and play with stickers while I made dinner!  It was so nice to cook without a child hanging off me or screaming in my ear... bliss, really.
The girls decided to have a rice cake for a snack, and it kept Livie busy for about twenty minutes... and meanwhile, she could keep an eye on Grace for me!
Watching Grace...
She is working hard with her new pencil sharpener, and a collection of stickers!  Kept her busy for about forty-five minutes!
After her snack, I gave Livie a pen and a little notebook to scribble her thoughts in... We used to do the same thing with Grace at that age!  It made me all nostalgic, and rather mushy!

Day Two Hundred and Twenty Nine and Counting...

As pictured in yesterday's post, Livie has a new little love in her life... her new purple hat!  She couldn't wait to put it on again this afternoon, and I got some great shots of her running around in it!

Adorable, yes?

And Grace was hard at work with her little drawing tablet, and was insistent that I should take photos through the entire process.  She was hilarious!  Asking that I wait til she was ready... what a girl!

And a bonus photo:
Just love it!  And her!

Day Two Hundred and Twenty Eight and Counting...

On the weekend, we took the ladies shopping for some new fall clothes.  Livie met, and fell in love with a new hat that she just had to have... and it suits her so perfectly, that we just had to buy it for her!  On Sunday, in that heat, she wore it outside!  She just couldn't bear to be parted from it!

After dinner, Jeremy treated the girls to some ice cream.  They were thrilled!  Livie, apparently, thought it was rather cold... and had the best reactions to it... and her brain freeze!

Grace was just being adorable... and I snapped this:

Day Two Hundred and Twenty Seven and Counting...

The girls started their day with a little personal grooming!  Grace has finally gotten the message that she needs to make an effort to brush her own hair in the morning, that it is her "responsibility", especially if she wants to have long hair.  Olivia is fascinated by either Grace or myself brushing our hair, and she loves to "brush" her own too.  Grace helped Livie out today, and brushed hers for her... and then gave her a chance to try it on her own!

Day Two Hundred and Twenty Six and Counting...

Today was a busy day, right from when we got up!
The girls decided to get up early, so we decided to go out early, too.  We surprised Oma and Opa with an invitation to breakfast.  It was a yummy surprise!
Me and my mom!
Jeremy and my dad!
Grace, loving on her daddy!
Livie, making eyes at Oma!

And then we invited Oma and Opa to come to the park to play, too!
Grace, on the fire pole!
It took her a few minutes to be ready to try... and then she couldn't stop!
Livie with her Oma and Opa!
In the top right, she is doing her "baby blastoff!"
Spending time with Oma!
Jeremy's turn on the climber... resulted in this:
Yes, that is my husband.  Sliding down to my mother's waiting arms..!
The girls at the ball diamond... they were fascinated with the chalk!

And when we came home... it was time for daddy to get a hair cut!
And Grace was happy to help!
