Day Eighty Six and Counting...

Today was a very exciting day for Grace!  Not only did she have her swimming lesson, but Daddy got to go in the pool with her!  It's all she has talked about for the last two weeks!  She was nearly beside herself with excitement!

Day Eighty Five and Counting...

Olivia loves Grace.  And Grace loves Olivia.  Most of  the time.
Today, Olivia did her very best to be just like Grace. 
One of Grace's favourite games of pretend is to dress up, get her purse and push her baby stroller all over the house.  She has played this game for as long as I can remember.  Olivia has watched her do this countless times.  And, for the first time, she wanted to play this game herself!
She picked up Grace's bag, started pushing the stroller and saying bye-bye!  It was adorable!

Day Eighty Four and Counting...

Today was a pretty much an "anything to make my girls happy 'til dinner is ready" kind of day... and this was the result!

Day Eighty Three and Counting...

My girls were so happy when Jeremy got home tonight!  They were really missing him, and couldn't wait to goof off with him!

And Grace just had to wear her birthday hat... but it wasn't a birthday hat, it was a cowboy hat as far as she was concerned!

Maybe all this silliness started with me at work today!  Check me out in the job I clearly missed out on!  (Maybe I should reconsider?)

Day Eighty Two and Counting...

My, oh, my were my girls cranky after school today!  Ugh!  It was almost painful!  Livie wanted nothing more than boob, and failing that, up!  And Grace, she wanted to pout and carry on... and all because they were tired!  Seriously, my children need to learn that it really is okay to nap at daycare!  My poor children are exhausted!
To amuse herself, Grace decided to draw a new mural on the patio doors.  Olivia watched her work, from my arms - of course.

Day Eighty One and Counting...

At our house, we try to blur the gender lines as to who is supposed to play with what sort of toy.  I have my own collection of dinky cars that I share with the girls, and we have Transformers (of which Jeremy collects only Optimus Prime), Spider-Man and other superhero toys too.  Whatever seems to strike their interest, we are willing to let them try out.
After school today, while I was making dinner, the girls decided to play cars.  Livie and Grace both love dinky cars, and our main floor is perfect for zooming across!

They did a remarkably good job sharing for a change!

Day Eighty and Counting...

Today was, by far, the most relaxing Sundays we have had for a very long time.  Even so, it wore Olivia right out!  After breakfast, we went grocery shopping, and she was passed out cold when we got home...

Jeremy got her to the couch, and she napped in her coat and hat...!

And when she did wake up, she wanted cuddles from Mommy, which led to another two hours of napping - together!  Bliss!

This afternoon, the yard just begged to be explored!  And before we knew it, we were all out in it!  Livie was in her glory!  And Grace was just happy to be outside again!
