Day Fifty Eight and Counting...

It was a very exciting day in our household today!  Not only was Grandma visiting (and Oma and Opa spotted at the mall!), but it was The Big Event!  Grace's first ever swimming lesson!
She had been looking forward to it all week!  Jeremy and I both talked it up, preparing her to meet new friends and a new teacher.  She was beside herself with excitement!

Then it was her turn to try jumping in!

She had such a great time!  She was so nervous, and played shy... she really just wanted to play in the water!  Her instructor finally caught her attention - she didn't try to force Grace to do anything!  And then Grace just couldn't get enough!  She can't wait til next week!

Day Fifty Seven and Counting...

 

Allow me to present Jeremy's newest best friend.  And yes, I will be posting a photo of Jeremy's Buckley's face in the very near future...!  The poor guy is just having such a rough go of it with his cold... and of course, he is just being such a man about it!

Grace was so excited that it was finally Friday, and Daddy would be waiting for us when we got home.  But she didn't expect him to be waiting at the door with the camera!

Hi, Daddy!  Now let me in!

Dear little Livie was finally back to her old self again today.  Her teacher, Sandra, said that she was cheeky!  I was so pleased!  She was actually playing and interacting with her friends again!  And she was so excited when Grace and I came to get her to go home.

Day Fifty Six and Counting...

It's been a rough week for my girls (and Jeremy, who has caught their cold, poor guy!) and I think we are all looking forward to the coming weekend...!  Olivia seems to be finally on the mend, as she is a little more spirited and lively... at least until her boogers and exhaustion catch up to her!

And then, Grace, in all her sisterly goodness, decided to put on a little show for Olivia!  She wanted to make her laugh... so she started goofing off and making faces!

Day Fifty Five and Counting...

Olivia was looking and feeling a little better today, so we all went off to daycare.  Grace and Livie were 'singing' to me and each other in the van on the way there!  So, I had high hopes for the day.
I have mentioned before that Wednesdays are hard on Grace, and today was no exception.  She barely made it through the day... but rather than having unreasonable tantrums, she was all sad and sensitive.  All she wanted was Mommy... which is fine by me, but she is no lightweight anymore and it is really hard to carry her around and try to chase after her goofy classmates besides!

Day Fifty Four and Counting...

The Germ Drama continues... Livie looked and sounded just awful when she got up this morning.  So, she and I had a home day (Grace was thrilled to have Snow White Day at daycare, and thus opted to go to school... which worked out well for me...!)  as well as a trip to Emerge to get checked out.  Some of her classmates have been seriously ill in the last little while and I wasn't waiting to see if she was going to get worse!

 

Olivia has another ear infection... sigh.

Shortly after her first dose, she was ready to play and enjoying not having to share everything with Grace!

Jeremy has noticed that I have yet to include a photo of myself in my blog.  I made the point that my blog is about my girls.  He said that there are photos of him and the girls together.  And, as their mother, there should also be a photo of me... so here it is. (And it may be the only one...!!)

 

Day Fifty Three and Counting...

My poor Olivia is sickly again!  The poor love is cutting two more bottom teeth and she has a nasty cold... hand in hand, isn't that how it goes?  And Grace?  She has a cold too... likely the same one Olivia has!  But she is already feeling better!

 

And it just gets worse from here...

Keep that tissue away from my nose, Mommy!

Day Fifty Two and Counting...

One part of our Sunday routine is grocery shopping.  Everyone enjoys it but me.  I find it irritating and time consuming.  Jeremy is constantly suggesting different things or just sneaking them right into the cart!  I go with a list and try my very best to stick to it... Jeremy and the girls make that very difficult!
Today, Jeremy was busy elsewhere, so it was just me and the girls.  And they were very content to shop, as long as I continued to supply the snacks!
