Day Two Hundred and Eighty Two and Counting...

In the midst of our busy day, we decided to drop in on Uncle Rob and Aunt Natalie!  It was a surprise for them, and for the girls!  It was a short visit, but it sure was fun!
Jewels was just as excited to see the girls as they were to see her!  And she was very loud in her expression of excitement!
Uncle Rob was happy to play along!
Aunt Natalie loves her girls!

Day Two Hundred and Eighty One and Counting...

Happy birthday, Jeremy!
This evening was full of phone calls for Jeremy's birthday, and the girls took their turns talking to their grandma!  (They both shied away from talking to Pop C., though!  Sorry, Dad!)
Livie is reaching for the phone... she really wants her turn!
Please, Daddy?
Quite the intent conversation!  And Grace? (Im)patiently waiting her turn!
Quietly sitting together, while Grace has her turn to chat!

Day Two Hundred and Eighty and Counting...

I bought Jeremy's birthday cards today (his big day is tomorrow!) and gave them to the girls after school, to sign and add their own personal touch.  They were both to excited and settled right down to get started on their work.  Not even five minutes later, he was home!  So, Jeremy got his cards a day early - they were far to earnest and excited to tell them that they had to wait!
Here are some shots of Grace's hard work:
The cover...
Grace's signature!  The letters are out of order because she wanted to write small like me, and they wouldn't all fit next to my "and" symbol!
You can see Grace's drawings of Daddy, and Livie's tiny colouring spots, too!
I encouraged her to draw a picture of Daddy, and this what she drew:
"Happy" Daddy!
"Baby" Daddy and "Grumpy" Daddy!

And here are some shots of the (tired) ladies who love him best:
Happy birthday, Daddy!

Day Two Hundred and Seventy Nine and Counting...

Grace started out her day in a particularly adorable way:
And even faced with a few of her tantrums, I think her cuteness carried her through the day!
I certainly think Daddy was won over...
Even with a touch of attitude, the cute seeps through...

And speaking of cute...
Yes, definitely cute!

Day Two Hundred Seventy Eight and Counting...

If you remember from a few weeks ago, Jeremy and I bought a new laptop.  At the time, I saw it as another tool for getting work projects done and for various other things.  What I hadn't considered was being able to use it as a small television for those evenings when the girls are more like bears than little ladies.  It has proven to be the perfect distraction and treat for them, while I am busy cooking and the like.
The biggest problem with having this tiny movie screen in the kitchen?  It is within reach of two pairs and small and inquisitive hands!
So close, yet so far, Miss!

And a bonus or two:
The rare one-kid-on-each-arm hug!
Grace decided to hug Olivia while in Jeremy's arms... he is in there somewhere!

Day Two Hundred and Seventy Seven and Counting...

Today, as I was making dinner, Grace offered to 'pose' for me for my blog photos.  She wanted to revisit some of her favourite poses: peeking from behind the chair, jumping off various things, or hugging Olivia.  While I appreciated her offer, I preferred to take my random shots while they were busy snacking and colouring together!
The girls were starving when we got home, as usual.  My monkeys wanted bananas, and boy, did they put them away!
Interrupting the banana-frenzy!
"Discussing" which page to work on next - in the Hello Kitty activity book!
Glad I caught a photo of this!  It may be one of the few I ever get of them working together on something!

Day Two Hundred and Seventy Six and Counting...

My parents spent a large part of the day with us today.  Both my parents and my girls just basked in the love that was just flowing to and fro, regardless of what they were doing.  Heck, for awhile, all my dad was doing was making faces and wiggling his eyebrows at Olivia and she just couldn't get enough!  It was adorable, regardless of which of the two you were watching!
The girls, of course, made the most of having two other people to read to them - Grace bringing her biggest book to Oma, and Livie bringing book after book to Opa!
Not sure who is telling the story here, Opa or Olivia!
I don't think Grace appreciated me interrupting!
