Day Two Hundred and Ninety Six and Counting...

Friday's post was done while my fever reducer was working... I have been really sick for three days now.  And yesterday, I was just not in any position to post.  So, I tried something different.
I took some photos twice today - and the ones I took this morning, I will use for yesterday's post (this one).  As one of my fellow bloggers mentioned, it's my blog and I deserve a little flexibility!


I normally don't take photos so early... I am not usually awake enough (especially on the weekend!) to appreciate a good photo op, and I don't want to be after the girls just yet either.  But, they are so cute in their jammies!  So, since this was an exceptional situation, I needed to make the exception!

Jeremy just thought I was funny, trying to make up for not posting yesterday... I was barely awake taking these photos, after all!

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Five and Counting...

The girls were very excited to see Daddy after school today, and as he was barbequing dinner, they went outside with him.  Olivia has gotten very comfortable in her big girl swing, and Jeremy had her just flying in it tonight!
He was also clowning around for his girls' benefit, just to hear them laugh!  And they were giggling so much and so loudly, I could hear them inside the house!

And he's down!  And the giggles can be heard all over the neighbourhood!

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Four and Counting...

The girls were full of beans early this morning...
Grace was making Olivia simply howl with laughter, driving this little car all over her little body, the floor and anything else she could think of!  She just couldn't get enough of Livie's laugh!  She kept stopping and saying, "Look, Mommy!  I am making Olivia laugh!" 
Sure, it was early.  But it sure was worth it, just to watch them!

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Three and Counting...

Yesterday, Grace got a special package in the mail!  She was thrilled!

She was quite taken with the flowers!

 It's from Pop C., Grammy Kelly and Aunt Nicole!

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Two and Counting...

You can buy a child a fabulous new toy - top of the line, all the bells and whistles - and they will happily play with the box.  You can fill a room with such wonderful toys, and then put a parent in the middle of it, and the parent will be the activity of choice.
I was the toy of choice this evening! 
I was (desperately) trying to get the dishes done while dinner was cooking away... and the girls were chasing each other all over the living room and kitchen, and I was the "safe spot"!  They took turns chasing each other between my legs and the cupboard doors.  It was a sea of giggles and silliness!

Day Two Hundred and Ninety One and Counting...

After an exhausting return to work, the girls and I were very happy to go home.  I think all three of us shared a sigh of relief when we pulled in the driveway.
And the first thing they asked for, once in the door?  Snacks!
And so, here are my little ladies, talking and laughing and snacking together...

I think Olivia was trying to convince Grace to trade halves with her... and Grace was not interested!

Livie was telling on me!  She spotted me with the camera and told Grace!  It was hilarious!

Day Two Hundred and Ninety and Counting...

Today was a perfect Sunday... it was sunny, and (sort of) warm and very inviting.  The girls were thrilled to be outside, running around and hollering to their hearts' content.  Jeremy and I sat in our lawn chairs, reading and soaking up the sun.
Grace has a real fascination with the tree in our front yard.  Jeremy has helped her 'climb' it several times, as well as just stand high in the branches.  Recently, she has discovered that she can reach the lowest branch by herself, and pull herself up into the tree!

She was so proud of herself!  All the way up, all by herself!

Livie, on the other hand, is quite taken with her shadow!  She and Jeremy (and Grace) have chased each others' shadows all over the place.  It's great fun watching her, and listening to her giggle!

What a great way to finish up our vacation!
