Day One Hundred and Ninety One and Counting...

Today was a most exciting day for my girls!  Olivia got to meet her Great Grandma Cramer (G.G.) for the very first time, and Grace was re-introduced, as she hasn't seen her since she was about seven months old!
Great Grandma and Grace - May, 2007.

The girls got all dressed up for their dinner with G.G., courtesy of Grandma's Easter dresses.  Grace said she felt like a princess - and I think she looks like one, too!
Sitting with Daddy!
Adorable, yes?
Then it was off to the restaurant!  The girls were so well behaved, and both ate so much!

Grace and Aunt Natalie, hamming it up for the camera!
Great Grandma!
(Always someone being goofy in the background!  Wouldn't you agree, Aunt Lynette?)
Uncle Rob is being a weirdo, too!
Mmmm!  Ribs!
Carefully eating her noodles...
And the ice from her drink!
Just what bright idea does he have?
Oh!  Giving Olivia a lemon?  That was your bright idea?
What a face!
Playing up to G.G.!
Mmm!  Ice cream!
Is she enjoying herself?  Oh yes!  And Great Grandma's attention, too!

We all had a great time, and dinner was delicious!  We can't wait to spend more time together tomorrow!

Day One Hundred and Ninety and Counting...

Sick house.  Again.
I started out waking up sick... so I took the girls to school so I could come home and sweat, sleep and sh... well, in peace.  My fever was unreal... and the sweats... ugh.
 For me...
And then I get a call this afternoon, because Livie has started to run a fever.  Again.  Oh, and Grace had a nasty poop.  Yay.
So, we decided that Livie needed to get checked out... 'cause she only gets a fever like that for a reason.  Yep, double ear infection.  Sigh.
For Livie.

Oh, and for Jeremy:
'Cause he has started with the same symptoms as me... poor guy.

Day One Hundred and Eighty Nine and Counting...

My girls were up and ready to roll right on time today!  So, to celebrate not being late, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to play outside!  It has been way too hot to have the kids outside at work or home, so this was the only outside time they have had since Monday morning!
They were so excited!  We had a half hour of nice, cool air to run around the yard!
Grace was "lifting weights" with a log for the fire pit.  She thought she was hilarious!  And she made a point of showing off her muscles for me, too!
Olivia needed a break from watching Grace working out!
They are trying out my gardening gloves...

Shortly after, we decided to go out front for the last few minutes -- so I could load up the van and get them that little bit closer to being ready to leave!
Posing on top of the green box... their favourite part of the front lawn!
Grace thought some photos of her jumping would be fun - since she hasn't done that for me for a while!

And poor Livie, I don't think she was overly impressed... despite her giggles...

Day One Hundred and Eighty Eight and Counting...

The girls decided to put on a show for us tonight, standing on the furniture (better acoustics?) and singing!  Grace made a point of saying, "Ladies and gentlemen!  Boys and girls!  Children of all ages!"  before she started her songs.  It was hilarious!
Her first introduction!
Singing along with her show!
This number required more concentration!
Livie's turn to stand on the chair to sing!
Loved standing on the chair, so now she needs to stand on a stool...
Ha ha, Mommy!  I am big!
Yummy!  Chubby baby feet and knees!
What an expression!
Daddy and his girls!
Hugs and kisses... for daddy's head!
Such love!

Day One Hundred and Eighty Seven and Counting...

Despite the day being incredibly hot and gross, the girls were in good spirits and happy to get home!  Daddy was waiting, and they couldn't have been happier to see him!
As soon as we were in the door, Grace was asking to go downstairs while I made dinner.  I wanted them down there to cool off, and Jeremy wanted them down there so he could watch Phineas and Ferb with them!  Both girls just love this show, and Jeremy thinks it is just hilarious!  I do too, for that matter!
Grace thinks the stories are awesome, and will make a point of retelling them to me if I should miss an episode - like when I make dinner!  Livie loves the music, and will dance to all of it... and ask for more!
Happy girl!
Love her little tippy-toes!
Looks like she is debating whether she can get up the stairs before I stop her...!
Grace was trying to smile for me, and watch tv at the same time!  She just couldn't tear her eyes off the screen!
Blowing kisses for the camera!

Day One Hundred and Eighty Six and Counting...

Seems to me that every day that passes, Olivia is trying so hard to be more like Grace.  She loves to do all the same things - dress up, push the stroller, carry the baby, build with the blocks... all regardless of whether Grace is using any of those things!  She is trying so hard to talk, to use words we can understand (better!) and get her point across.  She just seems to have so much she wants to share with us... and I know it will happen before I am ready for it!
Today, the girls decided it would be great fun to colour together while they waited for dinner to be ready.  Yes, Grace shared her colouring book and pencil crayons with Olivia.  And Olivia was just thrilled!
Such happiness on her little face!
From happy scribbles to careful colouring... just amazing!
Pick a colour, any colour!
What a hairdo!

Day One Hundred and Eighty Five and Counting...

Daddy surprised us with pancakes this morning!  They were just the thing for us to get our day started!  When we were done, Jeremy glanced out the patio doors and across the yard... and what do you think he saw on the neighbours roof?
A huge bird!  A Blue Heron, I think!
It just stood there, looking around...
The girls were just fascinated!  Livie kept hollering at Daddy and pointing out the window!
Livie is discussing the whole thing with Grace...
Grace is squawking... the way she thinks the bird must sound!
Do you see it, Daddy?  Right there!
Oh!  Bye-bye bird!  Bye-bye!
