Day One Hundred and Fourteen and Counting...

We had our typical way-too-busy-Saturday again today!  It was just Grace and I for her dance class this morning, as we had some fun to attend to at Westminister Hall afterward.
She was a little more interested in dancing this week.  She asked me to reintroduce her to her teachers, as she couldn't remember their names, and that seemed to help her relax some.  And I was in the window the whole time, smiling and silently encouraging her!
Yay!  She is smiling and happy!
Reach, baby!
So excited!
She is rather amazed by her teacher's high kick!

Tippie-toes!
Fun photo... everyone in motion - except Grace!

Later in the afternoon, we ran errands together with Daddy and Olivia.  One of the stores we went to was TSC, a favourite of ours.  Olivia spotted these plastic owls on the shelf, and was desperate to have at it!
Hi!  Wanna be my friend?
Mommy!  That one too!
*Poke!  Poke!*
If you're really quiet, maybe Mommy won't notice you and I can sneak you out...!

And I have one other thing to share!  My very first dandelion bouquet from Grace!  She was so proud of picking so many!  I just had to put them in water!

I held my finger over the flash and snapped this close up!  So cool!

Day One Hundred and Thirteen and Counting...

My girls are little "hippie-tree-huggers", as we so lovingly call them.  They both adore being outside, regardless of the weather.  Both have a fondness for trees.  Livie spent many a long moment laying on the floor on her blankets or mat, staring out the window at the tree dancing in the wind.  Nothing made her happier!

Now, Grace wants to be in the tree, if at all possible.  Observe:
She may be hanging on for dear life, but she is thrilled to be up a tree!
She is scarily content... is she going to stage a protest someday,
and live in a tree for three years to prove a point?

Livie is running back and forth across the grass... trying to avoid getting in the van...
I am outta here, Mommy!  Catch me if you can!

Day One Hundred and Twelve and Counting...

There has never been any question whether Jeremy loves his girls - all three of us.  He goes out of his way to make time for just for Grace and just for Olivia, so that they both get some 'just me and Daddy' time.  He regularly makes a fool of himself solely for their entertainment.  It is awesome to witness, and be a part of.

Watching Jeremy with the girls today really got me thinking.  There is something so incredibly special in 'catching' a moment between loved ones... whether you are lucky enough to simply catch a glimpse when they are unaware, or just happen to have the camera in hand - like I did today.
Daddy stealing a little kiss...
Livie giving Daddy a kiss!
Love!

Grace was hard at work, practicing her letters again tonight.  She is just so pleased to be able to do them over and over again, with no extra papers to deal with - like at school.  She is fascinated by the similarities in the shape of various letters.
Smiling while she concentrates...
"Take a picture of my Gs, Mommy!"

Day One Hundred and Eleven and Counting...

My girls were a little perkier today!  Grace and Livie were so happy to see Daddy after school, especially because Daddy brought some fun, new books home!
This one allows Grace to practice her letters - which she just loves doing these days!
Showing Daddy her hard work!

After Olivia recovered from her joy at seeing Daddy, it was time for an after school snack... and a nap, apparently!
Out cold!

Day One Hundred and Ten and Counting...

I just had to make my poor little sickies smile today!  So, while making dinner, I let them snack on the extra crab-flavoured fish that I was putting in our pasta.  They were thrilled!
Mmm! Big bites!
Sad, tired bites...
Silly bites...
All done!

Day One Hundred and Nine and Counting...

Oh, my poor girls!  This little box has been the focus of Livie's life for more than a month now, and it appears that it is going to be Grace's best friend for the next while, too!
Ah, yes.  Tissues.
Livie's cold has been plaguing her since she cut three of her four first year molars.  A month ago!  And she just hasn't been able to kick it out of her system.  She is suffering with a cough, eye boogers, and a relentlessly runny nose!  And today, Grace is just starting her cold... and you can so tell that she is Daddy's girl!  She sounds just like him when he is sick... if you catch my drift!
Check out Grace's red cheeks and lip... too much wiping of boogers!  Note, too, Livie's tissue.  She has a new game that she likes to play: "Wipe, wipe!"  And she wipes her face... or mine!
Grace does not seem amused with Livie and her tissue..!

Day One Hundred and Eight and Counting...

Today was definitely a lazy Sunday.  Despite a rather rough night all round, we were all very relaxed and just happy to be home and together.  The girls really enjoyed playing together, and actually got along for a change.  Livie has suddenly learned how to 'hug' Grace, and ran up behind her more than once today, and threw her little arms around her waist!  Grace isn't quite sure how she feels about it yet, as it sort of feels like Livie is trying to push her over!
This morning, Grace asked me to make a 'tent' for her, and she invited Livie to come in with her!
The Tent.
Grace suddenly decided that the Tent needed a door...
And Livie decided that the door meant it was time for her to get out!
(Note Grace's static-y hair... it was quite something!)

Later on, we took the girls out in the yard for some fresh (and chilly!) air.  They were all over the yard... running, chasing each other, and just acting like little animals!  They were just so pleased to be outside!  They took a little break together on the sandbox.
Just what are they talking about...?
What the heck is Grace doing?  Is Livie supervising, or what?
Seriously... what is going on?  Is Grace listening to something on the other side of the fence?
Whatever it was, Livie is done...!
