Day Three Hundred and Ten and Counting...

I am not really sure what game it was that Olivia was playing this morning, but it looked like she was getting ready to run away - or move out!  She struggled to take everything from one place to another, but she was determined that she should take it with her!
She had a backpack, her water cup, Hank and her float... all ready to go!  And Grace has her float box full off other toys that need a ride, too!

Day Three Hundred and Nine and Counting...

All week long, in Olivia's toddler class, they were talking about and playing with teddy bears.  Olivia brought her monkey Hank to hang out with her.
One of her teacher Sharon's favourite November craft is to make parade floats for the bears.  She then parades the kids and their floats through the school!  It is an adorable craft and event.
I brought Livie's float home tonight, and Grace was so excited to see it, I had to find an empty box for her and Frank to use and get in on the fun!
The girls and their monkey pals, parading around the house!

Day Three Hundred and Eight and Counting...

My poor Grace was suddenly sick this afternoon -- all barfy and gross.  So, we rushed home from daycare to the comfort of the couch.  She eventually changed into some comfy jammies (and socks!) and after a nap started to feel a little better.  Olivia was so worried about her, and she kept going over to her and gently patting her.
After dinner, the two of them played with my cell phone.
They were pretty much inseparable all evening!

Day Three Hundred and Seven and Counting...

Wednesdays always seem to be harder than Mondays on my girls.  By the time we get home, they just want to cuddle... and they don't want to share me to do it.
Pouting ensues.
Grace is on my lap, and Livie was trying to watch tv and climb up on me at the same time!

Day Three Hundred and Six and Counting...

Today was a very exciting day for me... and my girls!
For me:  Jeremy took me to see Gord Downie and Country of Miracles!  I love Gord Downie!  (And the Tragically Hip, his first band - and Country of Miracles!)  It was an amazing concert... it has been a long time since we went to a concert, and this was the perfect way to get back at it!

And the girls were excited because:
Yes!  Hayley came to stay while Jer and I had our date!
Thanks, Hayley!

Day Three Hundred and Five and Counting...

Today, I needed some peace and quiet after work.  And the perfect way to achieve said peace and quiet?
Play dough.  Yes, play dough.
And let me tell you, it worked.  Sigh.  Yes, indeed.
Even the girls were more relaxed after a half hour of play dough squishing.
Very satisfying indeed.

Day Three Hundred and Four and Counting...

Happy Hallowe'en!
Here are our pumpkins, out on the porch, ready for an evening of fun and frolic!
The girls were very excited to go trick or treating tonight!  Grace couldn't wait to get all dressed up and parade around the neighbourhood, with Livie in tow!
Spider-girl and Her Highness, Princess Grace!

And a bonus!
My mom has a friend who's mom is rather crafty, and she made these adorable socks for the girls!
Love them!  And the girls love the tinkling sound the beads make!

Day Three Hundred and Three and Counting...

Today, the girls and I spent some time carving and decorating our pumpkins (while Daddy napped!), and we did a great job!
Grace made smiley faces on hers - which she then coloured in!  I was lucky I got the shots I did!  And Olivia was all about the swirls and little circles.

And here is how mine turned out!
