Day One Hundred and Twenty Eight and Counting...

Well, we celebrated Mother's Day a little bit more today...!  Jeremy took Livie to the mall while Grace and I were busy with our friends from U.W.O.  He went in search of something different for me... and this is what he brought home:
My very own (and first ever!) pair of Chucks!!
(Aren't they pretty?)

And Jeremy insisted that Livie was desperate to try a little something different for dessert tonight... and when she smelled these, she demanded that Daddy buy some for her!
Livie likes the taste of the frosting for her first Cinnabon... but isn't too sure about the rest...!
Grace is very pleased!  Yum!
**Oh, Daddy!  It's so yummy!**

Day One Hundred and Twenty Seven and Counting...

Yesterday, Grandma surprised the girls with a new sundress for each of them.  The weather today, quite frankly, wasn't exactly sundress worthy, but we made it work just the same!
Long sleeves and tights make it alright!

After work, we decided to celebrate Mother's Day early and treated the girls to dinner, and then a little shopping.  For them!  Grace got a new Veterinarian Barbie (very cute!) and Livie got her first Toy Story 3 toys!  They are super cute, and I am sure we will get more of them!
Freeing Barbie...  notice that Livie is firmly grasping her new buddies!
Close up of the cuteness!

Day One Hundred and Twenty Six and Counting...

Tonight, as with most nights, Olivia was all about Daddy!  Her eyes just light up when she sees him... and she can't wait for him to put on a show for her!
She is just oozing love!
This is a high chair hug!

Yesterday, I went and bought the girls some new sand toys and bubbles and such for the yard.  Grace was very excited about the new toys, and decided she had to play with them while I made dinner.  And then after supper, she needed to tidy them.  She was trying to make all the sand toys fit in the same bucket.
Here, she is trying the tool end in first...
She fit them all in, going handle first!

Day One Hundred and Twenty Five and Counting...

This morning, my girls were feeling particularly affectionate!  Grace coaxed Livie up on the couch, and cuddles ensued!
Kissy-kissy!
Aww... hugs!
So much fun!
I heard Grace say, "I love you, Livie!"
(I just melted!)

And in honour of Happy Meal Day at McDonald's, we got the girls a happy meal each to enjoy!
Yum!
By now, she has ketchup in her hair... and her ears!

Day One Hundred and Twenty Four and Counting...

This evening was perfect weather for playing outside after dinner.  The girls were thrilled that we had enough time before their bedtime routine to run off a little more energy!
Our backyard is the girls' favourite place to be.  They are all over it, from one end to the other.  It gives me such happiness to watch them enjoying themselves and exploring their space.
Picking rocks... again.
Grace is showing off on her pirate ladder!
Tea and sandcakes, anyone?
In her clubhouse, with her 'tea and cake'!
(Yes, I am spying on her!)
Hooray!  Livie still loves her swing!
Big surprise - so does Grace!

At the same time that the girls were busily exploring the yard, so was I.  Last year, our yard was a war zone, riddled with thistles and the holes from ones I had popped already.  So, I am continuing to be vigilant and am on the look-out for any thistles that are trying to make their home in my yard.
And, my search gave me some fun photos to show you just what is growing in my yard this year!
Yep, from end to end... dandelions as far as the yard goes!
And whatever this is... so pretty!

Day One Hundred and Twenty Three and Counting...

One of Grace's favourite games to play (while I am desperately trying to cook dinner, and keep the girls amused) is 'grocery shopping'.  She uses her stroller as her shopping cart, sometimes with her baby doll in it, sometimes not.  She shops the pantry for various dry goods and boxed items that are small and will fit in the 'cart'.  And she insists on standing on the opposite side of the counter from me so she can 'pay' me.  It can keep her amused for a very long time!
Today, play was even more interesting as Olivia got in on the action!  At first, Grace had her walking next to the stroller as 'sister' to her 'mommy and baby'.  Then she let her help with the groceries.
Livie is putting the groceries in the bottom, and Grace is checking the baby...!
Grace is wearing one of my purses as a backpack...and Livie is having a closer look the container of icing!
And now its Livie's turn!  She thought it was great to wear the 'backpack'!
Grace's latest babywearing escapade!

Day One Hundred and Twenty Two and Counting...

Despite the rain, we really enjoyed our day together.  We spent a lot of time outside, just trying to enjoy how warm it was.  The girls were barefoot!  It was Livie's first time walking in the grass with bare feet.  She crawled around in it last summer, but that just isn't the same!
Livie is picking rocks!  Grace is dancing around like a crazy person!
Grace is telling me about a squirrels she saw earlier.
Checking to see if the grass really is greener on the other side...
Apparently it is, because Livie doesn't want to come back down!

Here is a bonus shot...!
That's my girl!
